For the second year, I was invited to participate in the Skin screening in the European Parliament (Brussels, 20-21 April 2016). This event is part of the Global Call to Action: Protect Outdoor workers from natural UV radiation. The campaign that focuses on skin cancer for outdoor workers has been renamed to “Skin Cancer: Safe Work Under The Sun” and it is a branch of the general “Healthy Skin @ Work” campaign. Under this campaign there are two days of screening in the Parliament and a Policy Debate entitled “Skin Cancer: European Outdoor Workers’ Number One Enemy”.
Under the direction of Prof. Swen Malte John, Head of Department Dermatology and Environmental Medicine, University of Osnabrueck, Germany and the impecable organization of Nikos Manaras ( EADV Senior EU Affairs and Media Coordinator) we had the opportunity to screen over 80 MEP and participate in the Policy debate.
